Wymondham Central Hall is a community facility in Back Lane, next to the town�s new library. Along with the adjacent car park, it is owned by a Charitable Trust whose objects are to provide a �community centre for the use of the inhabitants of Wymondham and the surrounding area, for use for meetings, classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the quality of life for the said inhabitants�.The Hall was built in 1965 after an eight year campaign to raise funds. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment. The hall now boasts a new reception/bar area and toilets with accessible facilities. The revamped kitchen area adjacent to the bar is fitted with a range cooker and various other resources. A new ground source heat pump heating system, combined with extensive insulation, ensures that the hall is always comfortable.
