All our products are hand-made in Britain.Tudor Oak craftsmen and the support staff are experienced, knowledgeable and passionate people, who take inspiration from history and believe that good design and high quality of craftsmanship should and can complement modern living. We are always looking to perfect our designs and listen carefully to our customers feedback. Over the years, we have produced a number of specials, some of which became our catalogue items. Moving with the times, we have introduced new collections to reflect modern tastes. Our Aura and Parsonage collections were warmly received and won praise for their creative use of character oak.Only the best oak timber is used to produce Tudor Oak furniture and joinery; as the name suggest, we mainly use English or European Oak (also known by its Latin name, Quercus Robur), but have a number of pieces produced in European Walnut, Cherry and Yew. The oak that we use comes from sustainable sources and is PEFC and FSC certified. We dont believe in using cheap overseas labour therefore our entire production process is based in the UK where we can ensure good working conditions and support for our staff. We use many traditional methods and our polishing process has taken years to perfect and is unique to the company.Tudor Oak is one of the oldest makers of handmade furniture, and one of only a few remaining in England. There are not many companies of this class left in this country, where such attention is paid to the production process from start to finish from the original design conception, initial drawings, all the way to the final touches, such as brasswork.
