The name of the pub commemorates a famous giant oak tree that once stood on the Welbeck Estate, the �Greendale Oak�.In 1864, The Greendale Oak was both Inn and Post Office, here the stage coach stopped on its way from Mansfield to Worksop. Adjacent to the pub and separated from the building only by a yard entrance are a couple of buildings which were used as the village mortuary now used as a garage.The Greendale Oak offers a fantastic drinks range to suit all tastes including a selection of award winning hand pulled ales from local, national and micro breweries, a range of premium draft and bottled lagers, fine wines and spirits.We are idealy located between Mansfield and Worksop, and Sherwood Forest.Our Guest Accomodation consists of 5 bedrooms furnished for our guests comfort, a warm welcome is always offered as well as a good hearty breakfast after a confortable nights sleep.
