I spent 18 years in hospitality before starting SafeServe First Aid, the last 8 as a business manager. Every time I sent my own staff on standard first aid courses, they came back no more confident than when they left. Ask three people what to do for a burn and you'd get three different answers. That's what pushed me to build the course I wished they'd had.
I now deliver HSE-recognised first aid training shaped around real shifts: kitchens, shop floors and the injuries a team is actually likely to see, rather than generic classroom scenarios. Groups stay capped at 8 so there's genuine hands-on practice for everyone, and training is delivered onsite at your premises wherever possible.
Courses include Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), First Aid at Work (FAW) and requalification, Paediatric First Aid (EYFS-compliant), Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Basic Life Support & AED, and Anaphylaxis training, with a choice of a fully practical classroom route or a regulated blended route depending on what suits your team.
The same small-group approach that started in hospitality now works just as well for offices, warehouses, nurseries and healthcare teams across Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and the South East. Fully insured, and backed by a network of vetted freelance trainers for multi-site or larger bookings.
