I have a multisensory approach to learning. This is achieved through key planning of activities & learning opportunities which support the EYFS Early years curriculum.My name is Ms Joanne Pitter, I am the Manager and Owner of Petals Unique Childminders. I am a qualified Early years Teacher with experience in using and meeting the guidelines of the EYFS Early year foundation curriculum. I am a life long learner who has a thirst for knowledge and is up to date with Educational policies. I naturally calm person who is approachable and friendly. The calmness of my personality is reflected in how I solve problems especially in how I am able to diffuse behavioural problems with children.As a Teacher I developed a range of behaviour management skills to support children with a variety of needs. Also working with professionals such as Educational psychologists I have learned a variety of strategies to support all children. Having gained training from Speech and Language Therapists (SALT's) I have developed the skills to support children with speech difficulties.At Petals Unique I believe that my service is a key intervention that can support and prepare your child for school. Alongside the main childcare service, I also offer out of hours one-to-one tuition. please email for more information.With experience of working over 10 years in Education as an Early years teacher, my specialism is in Early Years Education (Early Childhood Education). I achieved a Masters in Education in 2014, this involved developing and sustaining learning in the outdoor area. I completed my Post Graduate Certificate of Teaching in 2006 and prior to that I completed my Bachelors degree in Education, English Language and Linguistics. In 1994 I also completed an Nursery Nurse in Education (NNEB) Certificate which sparked my interest in the Early years and encouraged me to pursue a career in teaching.
