After the dreaded wet belt on my Ford Transit snapped, I was expecting the worst. I’d heard so many horror stories about engine damage and expensive repairs, so I was dreading the process. Thankfully, I took my van to Mcpherson Engineering, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. From the very first phone call, the team were professional, honest, and reassuring. They explained clearly what the wet belt failure meant for my engine and what my options were for repair or rebuild. There was no pressure, just straightforward advice and a transparent breakdown of the costs involved. Once I agreed to go ahead with the engine rebuild, they kept me updated throughout the entire process. They stripped the engine, replaced all damaged components, and fitted a brand new timing kit with a chain conversion, so I won’t have to worry about the wet belt issue again. They also took the time to replace seals, filters, and fluids, making sure everything was spot on before returning the van. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding the van now runs smoother and quieter than it has in years. It starts instantly, pulls strongly through all the gears, and feels like a new vehicle. They even cleaned the engine bay and gave it a quick valet before handing it back, which was a nice touch. Turnaround time was quicker than I expected, and the final bill matched the original quote to the penny no hidden extras, no surprises. It’s clear that customer satisfaction really matters to them.
