Description
Local Help My Way is a not-for-profit Staffordshire-wide scheme that connects people with trusted, verified micro providers, self-employed carers, independent small care companies, home help and community support services. We believe everyone should have choice and control over the care and support they receive, helping people remain independent at home with flexible, personalised services that reflect their individual needs, routines and interests.
Our network includes local providers offering a wide range of support, including care at home, companionship, dementia support, domestic help, shopping, meal preparation, transport, gardening, wellbeing activities, respite support and much more. Every provider is guided through our verification process, including checks on DBS, insurance, self-employment status and quality standards, giving clients confidence while preserving the personal, relationship-based approach that independent care offers.
Local Help My Way acts as a trusted introduction and matching service. While the scheme itself is not for profit, any care or support arranged is a private commercial agreement made directly between the client and their chosen micro provider, ensuring transparency, flexibility and value for money.
We also support people who want to become self-employed micro providers, offering free guidance, mentoring, training and business development to help them establish sustainable local care and support businesses. By growing a network of skilled, community-based providers across Staffordshire, we are increasing care choice, strengthening local communities and helping more people live independently in the place they call home.
