Little Birds is a forest and beach kindergarten, offering full time care and education for ages 2-5 with a focus on early excellence. Inspired by nature, learning through play.Little Birds are a forest and beach outdoor kindergarten, and we offer full time childcare and early years education for children aged 2-5.We play and learn in weekly forest and beach school sessions, and we enjoy learning and exploring our beautiful grounds and local environment.We believe in working in close partnership with parents and our communities, and our ethos is inspired by the Reggio and Scandinavian Skogsmulle approach, and have a project led approach to delivering the highest quality learning and development experiences.Our children and our staff learn and play together, and embrace all of our natural environments. Our staff are highly qualified, with Level 6 or degree/ qualified teacher status, and are passionate about ensuring your children are nurtured, loved and supported at their level of learning.We are open 52 weeks per year, and offer wrap around and holiday care, from 8am-6pm during every day of school holidays, and have a family centred approach.We are very lucky to have a beautiful Victorian school house to extend our outdoor learning, or use as a cosy space when the children want to retreat and reflect on their times outside. This is stocked with beautiful, open ended resources for the children.We use two woodland sites, one on site and one in nearby Arundel, which is a 4 acre ancient woodland with features such as streams and is for our exclusive use on our days. and our beach which has been described as 'North Devon in West Sussex'.Come and visit us and see how we work.
