Founded in 2020 by Joanna Mason (BA Hons, GTP, NPQSL) KAMT is a part-time Musical Theatre an Dance academy for all ages, from toddlers right through to adults, offering a variety of classes in the Performing Arts.

Kent Academy of Musical Theatre aims to offer all of our students wonderful opportunities to explore and express their creativity, passion and enthusiasm for Musical Theatre by taking part in classes focusing on acting, dance, singing and fitness as well as opportunities for examinations, competitions, theatre visits, workshops/masterclasses and performances.

Every year, we promise to offer our students the following opportunities*:

• Performing in one show a year

• Performing in a one-off show night

• A ‘family fun’ evening (a quiz, a murder mystery night etc.)

• A local theatre trip to see a musical (The Marlowe or The Orchard Theatre)

• A trip to The Marlowe Theatre pantomime

• One professional workshop with a West End performer

• An opportunity to take part in competitions (specific classes only)

Our Aims:

Our teaching philosophy is based on fun and professionalism for all, whilst our lessons are tailored to suit each age group. This allows our teachers the flexibility to adapt classes for individual students, ensuring that every student is given the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

KAMT aims to provide classes and training and a very high standard and expects students to adhere to these; maintaining professionalism and commitment throughout.
