Description
We are a well equipped independent small animal veterinary surgery, established in 2023 by Dr Teresa Burns. The practice was set up in honour of Jed, her beloved dog, who Teresa had to extremely sadly say good bye to on 15/8/2022. Jed, a gorgeous Parsons Russell Terrier was the most remarkable dog with the most beautiful, gentle soul and the most amazing spirit.
We are a truly independent practice treating dogs, cats, small furries, birds and exotics

The vet's assistant grabbed my puppy from behind, and the vet grabbed his paw. The puppy reacted by quickly yanking his paw away. The vet and assistant grabbed him even tighter, making him yelp. The vets decided the dog was being naughty, so they put a muzzle on the frightened puppy. This made the dog panic even more. The vet, very upset, said it was my fault. The dog wouldn't let her examine his paw, so she prescribed steroids. She said if he didn't get better the next day, I have to come back. I had a few more questions, but the vet said the consultation only lasted 15 minutes (£60). The vet spent half her time explaining how naughty my dog was. I think Teresa doesn't have the right approach to dogs and overreacts, which rubs off on the patient. I definitely won't be going back. We're looking for a new vet, one who has at least a little bit of empathy for animals.
