Our driving and companion transportation service is like no other, with door-to-door collection, care, support, and at your own pace with our trained, qualified and licenced staff. We are bridging the gap between taxis, public transport, and other voluntary agencies. Driving Miss Daisy provides the UK 's only Nationwide Driving and Companion People Transportation Service. Offering help and assistance to those who live life to the full. Our aim is not only to drive you to your destination and back home again but accompanied trips whilst on your visit. Whether it's a trip to the hairdressers, an assisted shopping trip, a hospital appointment where we accompany you to the department and wait while you consult with the practitioner or attend the appointment with you, a trip to the seaside, airport, local garden centre, the school run, visiting friends and family, and many more, we can help! We provide a unique caring, driving and companion service for anyone that needs to get out and about, to help combat loneliness, or for those who are no longer able to drive. Our vehicles have a rear entrance wheelchair access, and we can hold up to 4 passengers. Driving Miss Daisy also offers companionship at home where our trained and qualified Companions can, for example, offer some light domestic support, make a simple lunch, play board games, read or just be a good companion. We know from experience, having a regular friendly face to visit keeps our clients upbeat and enabling them to stay in their own homes for longer. We provide transportation and companionship services for the elderly, children, disabled and for anyone who is unable to drive from A to B. I offer the individual independence and peace of mind, enabling them to get out, have fun, and add some zing into their everyday living. Our special service also provides assistance in and out of the car, going to any appointments, shopping and company on outings. Special needs are catered for including assistance with a walker or wheelchair.
